This is where the main plot of DATAcompression will be played out. I will begin the RP with post about the setting, feel free to reply with your character's point of view at the moment and situation to introduce them. We will then simply continue on from there (you might be writing something akin to novel between rps at the beginning because of this, probably. I hope everyone likes writing haha). Other boards may branch off of this one once we get the rp started.

*Buzzt* *Buzzt**Static*Newscaster: "The Kaiser Corporation, serving the people of Yousaishima for three decades. Funded and co-operated by TOUE Inc., The Kaiser Corporation strives to better life in our island community. Facilitating trade, funding our police force, running our prisons, contributing widely to restoration projects and development, and helping bring in welcome tourism, the Kaiser Corporation is the reason we can walk safely down the street and live as comfortably as we do."Newscaster: "Building the company out of the ashes that remained after an electrical fire took her husband's life, Ethereal Kaiser went from small time college business major drop-out to becoming one of the strongest people in the world when she made the smart choice to ally with TOUE. A killer business woman and an even more attentive mother, Ethereal Kaiser has worked hard to raise the perfect children to succeed her in the future."Newscaster: "Surely you've heard of the not-so-recent surge in the popularity of Rhyme, a game once considered to be form of gang violence, now with the addition of CEO Ethereal Kaiser's own children in place as Moderators, the game has been deemed lawful and is now strictly regulated."Newscaster: "Valiant and Spectral Kaiser -- playing with the aliases Paladin Juggernaut and Spectre Zealot, respectively -- are the game masters, making sure rules and regulations are followed to the letter and meting out punishment -- suspension or, in extreme cases, permanent ban -- as necessary. Skilled players of the game themselves, those that manage to defeat either of them in battle receive a vast amount of recognition from the Rhyme community."Valiant: "Just follow the rules and we won't have a problem."Spectral: "Let's just keep this fun for everyone involved."Ethereal Kaiser: "It is my promise that--" *buzzt* "--Striving towards--" *buzzzt* "--Resplendent future--" *buzzt* *static*
Valiant whacked the aging television a few times. "Mother! This thing is trash! The television is almost as bad as that newscast was!" he exclaimed as he kicked the ancient relic. A wide-hipped woman sat in a leather-upholstered armchair, leaning forward with her chin in her hands. "I like it. Clean. Pretty. Makes Kaiser look like a charity," she hummed, smile never leaving her face. "I do agree with you, though, dear, that television is older than this house." Spectral tilted her head, squinty-eyes and ever-present grin akin to her mother's. "It'll be hell finding a television that's retro enough to match the furniture, though," she sighed. The musty, dark, regal interior of the Kaiser estate contrasted sharply with the smooth, clean cut style of the time. Everything still smelled of smoke from the fire that burned a third of the place down twenty years ago. Spectral figured it was a reminder, or maybe father's way of lingering around and haunting them. God knew they deserved it. Mother had tampered with the wires and Spectral had flipped the switch. Bye-bye daddy. The other twin frowned. "It doesn't need to match. It's a television. You hang it on the wall and it blends in with whatever freakish interior you have," he pointed out. Ethereal raised her eyebrows. "I think I want a new TV. One of those new holo-whatevers that project the image into the space in front of it," she said. The middle-aged woman still hadn't moved even an inch, still as a statue. Spectral nodded and crossed her arms. "The newscast would look nice on that," she observed, looking at the old television. Valiant snorted. "That newscast was stupid as shit--" "I like it," Ethereal repeated, squinted eyes trained directly on her adult son, still motionless. "It makes me look like a saint." The atmosphere froze, chills running through the already poorly heated room. A manor frozen in the past, in rotting glory and corrupted ideals, the air had fouled and turned to poison long, long ago. Spectral raised an eyebrow as her brother bowed his head and subserviently mumbled, "Yes, mother." The sister smiled as the mother rose from her seat and left the room without a word. Spectral followed her, grinning at the subdued look of hatred her brother was giving her as she sauntered out of the room. Valiant stood in that room alone for a time before marching indignantly to his bedroom. He needed to get out of that suffocating house for a while. He sifted through his closet until he found something casual that didn't have any of the Kaiser Blue in it. Kaiser Blue... was a gift from Toue. Kaiser Blue... the people trust the Kaiser Blue. The people love the Kaiser Blue. That newscast had been filled with Kaiser Blue.
